What is an RSS feed?

RSS stands for "really simple syndication". A website offering RSS "feeds" has the built-in ability to share and disseminate information online. When you subscribe to our RSS feeds, you’ll automatically receive updated news on two subject areas.

How do I subscribe?

  1. First, you'll need to install an RSS feed reader (also known as an RSS feed aggregator) on your computer. Type the words "RSS reader" or "RSS aggregator" in any search engine window. A number of readers are available on the Web, some of them at no cost. Note that some browsers—like Firefox, Safari, and Explorer 7—already have built-in RSS readers.

  2. Click on the icon of the RSS feed you’re interested in.

  3. Copy the URL of that RSS feed (http://www...) in the feed reader's address window.

Québec Ombudsman feeds are formulated for RSS 2.0. They are compatible with all utilities and support previous formats of this version.

As a subscriber to Québec Ombudsman RSS feeds, you agree that:

  • You are doing so for your own personal use (for private, non-commercial purposes), for consultation only.
  • You will not redistribute their content on free or fee-based websites or intranets without the written permission of the Québec Ombudsman.
  • You will not tamper with or remove any notices of copyright or ownership, attributions, dates, or other indications of the source that are included by the Québec Ombudsman in the RSS feed.

Information transmitted via news feeds has no legal value.
